I really, really love this one! This is another one I had been toying around with for a while before I finally got it right. In this design, I've gone back to my my traditional Celtic routes, and use the classic rules for a knot (all one line, radial symmetry, use of curves, etc.) Inking this one was a bitch, though. God, it took me forever...
Anywho, I couldn't decide what colours I wanted to use for this, so I played around with various different combinations until I came up with this. I like the little touches of red at the tips of the pentacle. I think it gives a nice accent to them. Reminds me of those Orange Creamsicle popsicles I used to eat when I was little... Mediums: Inked with Faber-Castell pens, coloured with Prismacolor coloured pencils. Total time: 4-5 hours. Lost track of time on this one. PS. I'm thinking of getting this one printed on a t-shirt. Would anyone be interested in wearing one? |
